About JJJ:
Just inside the Montana’s Rocky Mountain Front in the scenic corridor between Yellowstone and Glacier National Park, the Triple J Ranch is remotely located, overlooking the beautiful Sun River Canyon and Gibson Lake. Spectacular pristine beauty without the crowds or lines of the national parks. Out our backdoor is the famous million-acre Bob Marshall Wilderness. Wrangler:
The Wrangler staff is responsible for the education, safety, and enjoyment of our guest riding program and care of our horses and livestock. This position requires a motivated, honest, and flexible individual with great customer service skills who can work productively with or without supervision and will act immediately as circumstances arise. Wranglers saddle up to 40 horses a day; therefore, must be in good physical health with ability to lift at least 60 lbs. Horse experience with knowledge of basic vet care, shoeing, horse training and general use of tools and repair is required. Wranglers present a neat, clean appearance with western style dress of cowboy hat, cowboy boots, and collared shirts. Must bring your saddle and RIDE FOR THE BRAND.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Gathering, feeding, saddling, and preparing horses for rides
- Instruct our western riding program to guests, lead trail rides
- Caring for sick and injured horses
- Willingness to learn about vet skills and horse training
- Maintain and clean tack, ensuring that all is safe and in good working order, repair as needed
- Clean and maintain barn area, corrals, arena, trails, and ranch grounds
- Move hay, seed & harvest barley fodder daily to feed to horses
- Assist with weekly gymkhana games, team penning and other guest activities such as hiking, fishing, or trap shooting – or any other guest need that arises with a smile on your face
- Maintain equipment, fix broken equipment, and be safety conscious
- Fence building or repair
- Willing to perform other duties such as yard work, trash removal, painting, dishwashing, etc. when needed
- Have a great sense of humor!
Housekeeper/Server:
Housekeeping responsibilities include:
- The cleaning of guest cabins and common areas of the ranch – changing towels, making & changing beds, cleaning bathrooms, taking out trash, vacuuming, washing windows, dusting, and various other cleaning related activities. Friday is our change-over day, and other staff helps to clean the ranch and team together to clean the cabins. The housekeeper supervises the cleaning of the cabins, and lodge. During the week, the housekeeper performs daily tidying of the cabins.
Wait staff duties include but are not limited to:
- Serving food to guests and staff in our dining room or at outdoor meals and functions, clearing after meals, cleaning of dining room, and packing for cookouts.
- Some minor food preparation may also be involved.
- If not needed in the kitchen, you may be helping with the gift shop, working in the yard, doing grounds maintenance, or any other duties assigned.
- We expect our facilities to be kept spotlessly clean, and meals to be excellently presented. We count on staff to be detail oriented and to provide superior service and hospitality to our ranch guests.
