Beefmaster Cow Calf Ranch and Farm Job in Fallon, NV
Looking to bring on an experienced motivated, couple as working managers to build and increase the bottom line in this Ranching endeavor. Currently sell Bulls, Replacement heifers, freezer beef, semen, and breeding services. AI and embryo transfer, and heifer development.
Manage and keep records on the cow herd. Preg testing using the ranches ultrasound equipment. Selection of bulls calves for sale. Maintaining herd health in a pretty trouble-free herd. Biannual vaccinations. Spreading salt.
Exercise, groom and ride the ranches horses with the plan of expanding, training, and finishing good ranch horses for sales and breeding. Feeding and evaluating body condition and making changes in nutrition for each horse.
Irrigating, haying, maintaining equipment, and making daily decisions to keep the ranch equipment in top shape. Equipment operator.
Building fence and fixing fence, along with the construction of corrals, continuous fence, pole barns, and horse shelters.
Farm tillage, and seeding of new crops, including Laser leveling.
Maintaining and installing frost free waterers.
Lawns, sprinklers, and tree work on a weekly basis.
Housekeeping, cooking, laundry, and home improvements, in a Bed and Breakfast atmosphere. Possible Sub guiding on hunts. Packing is a plus but will train.
Bookkeeping and use of Quick books is a plus.
Salary: Depends on Experience, Bonuses will be paid on gross receipts regardless of net. Commission driven.
