Focus Ranch
Focus Ranch is a traditional working cattle and guest ranch, situated on the Colorado/Wyoming border 50 miles NW of Steamboat Springs, CO. Guest capacity on average is 15 with occasional larger reunion groups. We are looking for experienced yearling cattle-wrangler, assistant wrangler, family style cook, guest & ranch personnel.
The season runs from May 1st to October 1st approximately and some positions have more flexible employment dates.
We run yearling cattle and invite our guests to participate in our ranch activities as much as they would like…for most this means wonderful horseback riding opportunities. We receive our 1300 head in May and rotate them through our private pastures as well as forest pastures in Medicine Bow National Forest, practicing holistic resource management. This means moving cattle often throughout the season.
Our guests come to participate in an authentic cattle ranch and to play an active role in managing the natural resources in a sustainable way.
Horseback riding is a main attraction but so is fly fishing on the Little Snake River that flows through the ranch property.
