Mountain Valley Farm
We are looking for a great person to join our team and grow with us. We need someone who is an expert western rider, has a very strong work ethic, responsible & has an outgoing personality and believes safety is key on rides. We need someone to feed daily when horses are not in the pastures and being worked. Someone to check on their well being daily in the pastures. Adminster any care if needed, take care of wounds if any, meds if any.
At the moment, we don’t have any of those needs but they arise from time to time. We have some green broke horses that need more work to become client ready. We have bomb proof horses that need to be consistent in their work program. We have a new round pen built in the Buck Brannaman style.
Duties include: Horse Training, Feeding, Care, Guiding Trail Rides, Exercising & Conditioning, Cleaning Stalls, Maintaining Tack, Pack Trip Lead. All around light farm management.
Bonus: Do you know how to operate machinery like a John Deere Tractor, Zero Turn, Bush Hog, Chain Saw? Even better.
Do you sing, play guitar? Our overnight pack trips would love that, but not required!!
Other Opportunities: For the right person there would be an opportunity to partner on buying/selling new horses for the herd and for sale to make additional income. We train polo ponies here as well but are mostly western. Depending on what you’re looking for comp-wise, we may be able to provide housing for you. But would need to meet locally, or Facetime with seeing videos of your riding skills prior if you can’t meet locally. This is seasonal work but we do need help all winter long as well if you are interested.
