Want to spend the summer making a difference? Join us at Jameson Ranch Camp for an incredible, unique experience in the Sierra Nevada. The JRC program hosts 85 campers from ages 6-15 on our small self-sustaining property where we grow a lot of our own food, run a few cattle, and teach campers what life outdoors is like. This program is completely tech-free, and about 99% of it takes place outside. So, before you get visions of beaches, palm trees, and the Hollywood sign, check out what it is we’re about.

Everyone sleeps outside on sleeping porches; there are roofs but no walls. We have solar-powered, reliable hot water showers, but they’re also outside. Our bathrooms are outhouses, not flush toilets. There is no Wi-Fi or cell service, but you can call on landlines here for free. Each staff member gets one day off per week to leave the space and find “civilization” with other team members.

We are looking for staff available from June 4, Orientation Week starts June 7, and our season ends August 10, 2025. We provide wonderful home cooked meals and pay $5049 for the summer before taxes. JRC accepts international candidates who are willing to obtain a J-1 Visa; we work with multiple agencies to assist in the process.
