Kennel Staff for a Dog Show dog kennel
compensation: Based on Experience
Kennel staff needed Full time, housing provided if needed.
Experienced preferred, will partly train , Do not apply if you just have a pet experience with dog or say , ‘I love dogs’. Need to have worked with animals .
We are passionate about our dogs and looking to hire others who have this same passion. We are a show kennel.
Our Kennel is currently seeking qualified candidates to fill the following positions: 2 people full time.
** Weekends and holidays are a must
They must interact and play with the dogs; monitor them at all times to ensure that they get proper care and exercise safely cared for; oversee feedings; observe, document and communicate any issues or problems that need to be addressed with other Staff and management. There may be travel required from time to time.
Candidate Qualifications:
- Have experience in a animal environment
- Must demonstrate sufficient dog handling skills
- Ability to take direction from management
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Ability to work independently to complete tasks proficiently
- Must be able to work in a vigorous physical manner, standing or walking 90% of the workday
- Duties will include walking, feeding, and watering dogs; cleaning cages, janitorial work and bathing dogs, grooming, constant cleaning up after dogs
- Great if you have grooming skills , will train
Candidate Attributes:
- Must be patient and loving with dogs
- Must have common sense and good judgment
- Great attitude, ability to interact positively with other staff
- Articulate and professional communication skills
- Detail oriented, conscientious and dependable
