Lazy C Diamond Ranch
Our family owned and operated diversified ranch is looking for a hard working individual(s) to join our team. We have a progressive registered Simmental cowherd and run approximately 450 cow calf pairs. We do extensive AI and ET with the cowherd and have our own bull sale. Modern equipment and working facilities along with a heated shop make for a pleasant work environment. Ability and experience of operating tractors/farm equipment is a must. We do all our cattle work/moving off ATVs, not horses, our operation is not a “cowboy” setting. We have no expectations of you having to rope or ride.
We’re searching for:
A. An individual that is talented in the maintenance and repair of equipment, welding, and smaller everyday repairs and also have an interest or background in farming – seeding/combining, would be a perfect fit to our operation. If you’ve been called or consider yourself, “Mr Fix It” and enjoy the task of problem solving/tackling repairs……Let’s visit!

B. A talented individual that has an abundance of ambition and love for everything related to a specialized, smaller scale (barrel/running bred) horse breeding program.
This individual would be fully in charge of the daily care of everything horse related on the ranch – feeding, picking stalls, watering, foaling out, hauling to vet for breeding, halter breaking, etc. Extra consideration will be given to someone that can also start teaching basic ground work and loading.
We also have a small dog breeding/showing program (Pembroke Welsh Corgis) and the ultimate “perfect fit” would have some exposure to that world or be trainable into the daily duties of “show dog” maintenance and care.
Majority of individuals’ responsibilities would revolve around the horses and dogs but could also be included in day to day ranch operations (cattle working days/haying) Attention to detail and a flexible personality is extremely important.
An understanding of the intensity of the ranching lifestyle is very important. There are many, many long days put in, but also times of the year that are slower and not quite as fast paced (winter months). We value honesty, strong morals, a hard-working, self-starter attitude, and flexible personality. The only downside is our winter climate….there is no getting around it, our winters can be brutally cold. That being said, North Dakota summer/falls can be one of the most enjoyable climates to experience!
Competitive pay based on experience and housing will be provided. For the right person, a dog or horse can be accommodated for.
We are located in central North Dakota and are close to an appealing small town with a great school system and an hour from bigger ND cities with all the amenities.
