A private family is seeking seasonal Groundskeepers in Montana. The Mission is to provide this exclusive, private family Serenity, Security, Stability by supporting the maintenance of grounds at this exclusive property. This includes strong attention to details in regularly maintaining grounds via landscaping, irrigation, trail and weed management.
This privately-owned estate in beautiful Montana features breathtaking landscapes that include rugged mountains, lush valleys, and serene woodlands. Visitors can experience a rich variety of native wildlife. The ranch maintains a 400 head cow/calf operation and a limited number of horses. The property is equipped with top-tier hospitality amenities and well-designed meeting and conference spaces, offering outstanding leisure and recreational activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsibilities will include maintaining the grounds of the property, including lawns, meadows, gardens, and trails ensuring appropriate service levels are always maintained for the family.
- Be involved in all aspects of outdoor ground maintenance: weeding, mowing, trimming, gardening, general beautification of grounds.
- Wash and detail company vehicles.
- Clean shop areas.
- Repair fences, gates, walls, and walks using masonry or other tools as required.
- Install and maintain irrigation systems.
- Prepare outdoor areas for various weather conditions by weatherproofing, tying down unsecured items such as outside furniture, etc.
- Use power equipment such as a variety of mowers (push/zero turn), hedge trimmers, leaf blowers.
- Assist with trash removal and hauling of grounds shop, woodshop, free bay, pool area, Rec Hall, and lodge.
- Offer assistance to guests when needed.
- Work on special projects as directed.
RELATIONSHIP TO OTHERS
The Seasonal Groundskeeper reports directly to the Groundskeeper Supervisor and may work closely with other team members and internal support staff. It is therefore necessary that the Seasonal Groundskeeper maintain a satisfactory relationship, relating to owners, their guests, team members and vendors in a mature, thoughtful, professional, and pleasant manner.

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduation from high school or equivalent education.
- Must be 18 by May 1st, 2025.
- General knowledge of methods, materials and procedures used in grounds maintenance; basic customer service; committed to safety first and have good work habits.
- Ability to: coordinate and participate in ground maintenance projects; assist with the enforcement of rules and regulations for seasonal staff.
- Golf Course/Lodge Grounds/Trail Systems experience preferred but not required.
- Experience with power and hand tools, mowers, etc. preferred.
- Good communicator, always having a positive attitude, suggesting ideas and solutions.
- The ability to produce quality work in a consistent manner and quantity of work necessary to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Must be US Citizen or legally able to work in US
- Valid US drivers license
*This position requires the operation of a vehicle; candidate must possess a valid Driver’s License or be able to obtain one within 30 days of employment. The candidate’s driving record must meet the standards and requirements of the Company and the Company’s insurance carrier.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
- Employees must adhere to Company and property policies and procedures, which are included in the Company’s Employee Handbook.
- Candidate may be subject to undergo pre-employment drug test, (after offer is given but before applicant has commenced work). Random drug tests are given throughout the year.
- The Company operates as a drug free/smoke free workplace. Smoking is not allowed on the property, to include but is not limited to, company housing, vehicles, offices or on company machines.
- Ability to pass pre-employment screenings, background and reference checks.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk and hear. The employee must frequently lift and/ move up to 30 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to wet, hot or humid conditions; work near moving mechanical parts; outdoor weather conditions; extreme heat or cold.

COMPENSATION AND SCHEDULE
- Compensation: Starts at $20.00 Depending on experience and skill set.
- Work Hours: Monday through Friday 7:30am – 5pm and Saturdays 7:30am-12pm (noon). Includes one hour lunch.
- Seasonal Dates: Flexible start and end dates.
- Housing and Meals provided daily.
- Reimbursement for reasonable travel expenses provided.
