Looking for a dependable individual with 5 plus years cattle experience. Good credit and no criminal record is a must. You must be clean and meticulous with a strong work ethic. The ranch is 6,000 acres with 5.5 miles of river and four large lakes. No one is allowed to hunt, fish or trespass.
The Ranch Managers house is approx. 2,800 feet with four bedrooms that has been completely remodeled. A deposit is required. Everything is brand new with high end appliances. The expectation is the Ranch Manager will oversee the ranch and protect it. The ranch manager will be available during normal business hours upon request but this is a part time job. In the winters, the job amounts to approx. 5 hours a week of work. From May until October, it will be 20-25 hours a week while we have yearlings or cows. You must have extensive cattle knowledge including buying, selling, branding, and vaccinating cows. Last year we had 185 cows from May until October. Additionally, you will be expected to maintain close to 20 miles of fencing and must know how to repair fencing.
Compensation includes free housing. Additionally, there will be a low salary ($1,000) during the winter and a higher salary($2,500) in the six months that we run cattle. Total base compensation will be approx. $25,000 annually. All utilities included except propane.
