We are looking for a Ranch Manager/Working Couple to join the Blue Goose Cattle Company Team. This is a full-time, permanent position. The successful candidate/couple will coordinate a large cow/calf & backgrounding operation in a semi-remote Central BC location (Williams Lake area) and manage all aspects of a working cattle ranch. Responsibilities include: forage production, livestock husbandry and staff management. Some administrative duties will be part of the job.
The qualified applicant must have proven experience in livestock management including calving, animal welfare, feeding, range riding, grazing, fencing, irrigation, farming and feed production. Use of livestock/farming equipment and its maintenance is an asset. Must be able to handle livestock calmly and effectively, identify and solve problems proactively and treat animals, equipment and personnel under their umbrella with respect.

The Blue Goose Cattle Company Ltd. owns and operates a diverse mix of several extensive cow/calf ranches, multiple medium and large grass yearling operations, four breeding heifer locations, as well as hay, haylage, and silage production enterprises in the BC Southern Interior. Approximately 1.5 million acres are currently under the Blue Goose Cattle umbrella.
Having been established in 1993, The Blue Goose Cattle Company Ltd. has grown from a family owned working cattle ranch to what currently is a fully vertically integrated, certified organic entity, from the birth of a calf to the plate of the retail consumer, all under our own Blue Goose brand.
