Need to check on all cattle everyday.

Raising Livestock – need to oversee calving , raising and care of cattle . That means monitoring the herd daily, ensuring cattle have food and water and identifying and treating sick animals. Be able to take DNA samples and keep records of calves .

Maintaining Facilities – maintaining all buildings on the ranch , fences , water lines and cattle shelters.

Maintaining Equipment – operating and cleaning equipment. If something is broken tell owner so it can get repaired . Be able to run a chute . Know how to drive a John Deere tractor , skid steer and bulldozer.

Maintaining Cattle – maintaining high standards of animal welfare. Needs to be able to shots / vaccinations and keep record of shots to turn in daily.

Team work – be able to work and communicate with others . Follow directions that are given
