Seeking a seasoned management leader for its retreat and wellness-oriented guest ranch in the unique and cherished heart of Tom Miner Basin. Situated at 6,600 feet elevation the ranch is surrounded by spectacular ridges and peaks nudging 10,000 feet and populated by abundant wildlife.
Here on 9,000 deeded acres of working cattle ranch adjacent to Yellowstone National Park we host value-aligned groups ranging from 12-30 participants who come to convene, learn, and grow as gentle users of the ranch from mid-May through October. We also offer retreats, cross-country skiing, and other winter activities from mid-December through mid-March.
The ranch strives to be an economic and ecosystem exemplar of values-aligned stewardship. We emphasize health, regeneration, mindfulness, resilience, profitability and sustainability through our organic beef and guest businesses.
Our Guest Ranch Manager (GRM) embodies the ranch’s values, helps envision and develop its full potential, serves as its ambassador, provides mentorship, a steady hand and mature guidance to our team, develops, and manages its annual business plan and budget.
Our Guest Ranch Manager has overall responsibility for the guest business, reports to the Owner, directly supervises and coordinates with the Guest Operations, Maintenance, and Garden/Landscape departments, and is supported by the Executive Office including Bookkeeper, Administrative Assistant, Marketing and Sales Manager, Business Operations Manager, IT consultant, and Project Manager.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Participate in ranch-wide strategic planning and develop a multi-year plan for guest business expansion and refinement.
- Lead development, implementation, execution and reporting of annual business plan and budget for the guest business in coordination with associated department heads.
- Hire and onboard department heads as needed, and assist in the hiring process for all additional staff under them
- Supervise horticulture, maintenance and guest service departments and assist in training, orientations, and other team-alignment meetings.
- Facilitate employee management duties, such as (and not limited to) monthly budget reviews, performance reviews, time-off requests, annual job reviews/updates, appreciation events, housing standards and regularly scheduled meetings
This is a year-round position with housing and full benefits. Compensation Range: $70,000-$90,000.
