Ranch Manager needed at 410-acre, family-owned exotic hunting ranch in South Texas, just 30 minutes from Victoria, TX. This role involves working closely with us to oversee ranch operations and support the growth of our exotic livestock breeding program. The ranch functions as a business, a personal retreat for the owner, and a welcoming space for family gatherings and friends.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with owners to set goals and design and execute plans for the exotic livestock breeding program.
  • Ensure exceptional day-to-day ranch operations with a strong emphasis on animal welfare, safety, and quality care.
  • Conduct repairs and improvements to ranch infrastructure as needed.
  • Maintain and manage repairs for all ranch equipment.
  • Oversee regular upkeep and repairs for the main house and guest cabins.
  • Actively identify potential risks, discuss with the Owner, and develop and apply strategies to reduce them.
  • Uphold and represent the ranch, its business, and yourself with honesty and integrity.
  • Act as a proactive problem-solver and demonstrate a no-excuses leadership style.
  • Perform additional tasks as requested by the Owner.

Qualifications include but not limited to:

  • Must pass a background check and be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must pass an initial drug test and participate in a random drug testing program.
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license or be eligible to obtain a Texas driver’s license.
  • Ability to work independently with initiative, while also leading and mentoring future ranch staff.
  • Must be capable of lifting 50 pounds or more and working outdoors year-round in varying weather conditions.
  • Previous experience with livestock is required; experience with exotic livestock is preferred.
  • Prior experience operating small equipment (e.g., tractors, skid steers, trailers) is essential.

Our property is on the water, bay fishing knowledge would be a plus.

Compensation:

Starting salary depending on experience
