Panhandle Rocking P Ranch
Perform day to day operations required for a 300 head cow / calf operation. Includes monitoring, counting and assisting cows during calving. Implement tagging of calves as they are born. Working cows and calves twice a year including branding, castrating and vaccinating. Feeding cake during winter months. Maintain salt and mineral program year round. Inspect and repair as needed solar mills and windmills. Be able to weld and make repairs as needed. Able to operate and repair machinery.
Participate in strategic planning marketing and budgeting process on an annual basis. Maintain records to be able to participate in GAP and VNB programs. Monitor operating and vendor costs on a weekly basis in order to stay within budget. Report to owner weekly.
Maintain integrity of pastures and land. Continue maintenance of cholla cactus and mesquite trees. Cultivate habitat and feeding program for deer and quail. Including planting and watering new trees.
Maintain cleanliness and appearance of barns and surrounding areas. Keep ranch trucks and equipment clean and in working order.
Keep owners house inside and out at guest ready level at all times. Keep managers house clean and presentable inside and out.
