Overview: Seeking experienced Ranch Manager to live onsite 100-acre Private Ranch and maintain; homes, vehicles, pond, water features, roadways & various equipment. Candidate will also; oversee security, manage vendors, order supplies, manage incoming packages (on & off site), run errands and be able to provide carpentry, plumbing, electrical and “handyman” duties, as necessary.

Skills Required: Mechanical aptitude, knowledge of grounds maintenance, knowledge of large estate management, experience in working with farm animals, strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to write reports and negotiate contracts. Ability to troubleshoot and drive solutions. Computer savvy w/ bookkeeping knowledge to manage billing and invoices. Service & hospitality experience is a plus.

Additional Requirements: Clean driving record w/ valid Drivers License. Ability to pass a background check and drug screening. Must be in good physical health with no limitations on lifting heavy items safely to carry out job responsibilities.

Character Traits: Candidate must be discreet with regards to the Principals and Guests and be able to keep information confidential (NDA). Successful candidate will have a positive attitude, be a self starter, honest & trustworthy and take pride in the property as if it were their own.

Typical Duties included but are not limited to:

  • Bi-weekly walkthroughs of MAIN HOUSE, GUEST HOUSE, FARMHOUSE, ART STUDIO, WHISKEY BARN, SMOKEHOUSE, GAZEBO, BARN/TOY SHED & GROUNDS with established “CHECK LISTS” to follow
  • Set up/take down & cleaning of seasonal items; exterior furniture & cushions, pond pump, dock & summer toys (inflatables, kayaks & fishing gear)
  • Assistance with lawn care, tree care & various landscaping including irrigation management
  • Snow management as needed to ensure all buildings remain accessible in case of emergency
  • Maintaining of owner vehicles for service, fuel, cleaning, stocking & licensing
  • Maintaining of various recreational equipment to include but not limited to; snow mobiles, go-karts, side by side, quads & Skid-steer
  • Basic interior maintenance to include; lighting/electrical, HVAC, pest control. Ensuring all buildings are in working order with regards to plumbing, heating, mechanical & electrical
  • Running errands to stores – dry cleaning, pharmacy, mail pick up & drop off
  • Airport runs for Principal & Guests
  • Stocking assorted consumable supplies and maintaining accurate inventories
  • Work with established vendors to ensure property is kept in good working condition (house keepers, landscapers, pond service, pest control)
  • Work with contractors as necessary in remodels & renovations
  • Oversee email account, file & organize packing slips, invoices, credit card statements and track petty cash – protocol forms will be provided
  • Communicate with Chief of Staff weekly on new issues, open projects, pending work & scheduling
  • Occasional weekend and evening support when Principal and/or Guests are onsite and the ability to support and assist in preparation & during events
