Alongo Family
Full time, resident position on a 1,300 acre private recreational family ranch near San Antonio, TX. Farm/Ranch life experience is required.
The ranch owners are a small family who are weekend residents with a separate household. There is a small cattle herd to manage with the primary focus being on whitetail and dove hunting. The ranch is 1,300 acres of high fenced prime wildlife habitat. The owners work closely with biologist to continually improve the habitat.
The owners are seeking a hard working Christian couple to help manage and improve the beautiful recreational ranch. The previous ranch management couple is retiring from ranch management after 15 years on the ranch.
Husband’s Experience:
• Knowledge in basic home maintenance
• Experience in farm/ranch machinery and heavy equipment operations, maintenance and repair
• Experience in automotive and ranch vehicle operations, maintenance and repair
• Experience in welding
• Experience in landscape maintenance
• Knowledge to efficiently prioritize ranch work
• Working familiarity with computers, specifically email
• Experience in managing a budget and expense account
• Knowledge to maintain ranch records
• Experience in livestock care and management
• Experience in wildlife habitat management
• Must speak and write English
Wife’s Experience:
• Main ranch house cleaning
• Experience with laundry
• Able to cook meals when requested
• Shop for groceries
• Must be able to lift 10-40 lbs
• Must speak and write English
Other:
• Must provide references
• Must clear a criminal background check
• Must pass drug test
• Must be able to occasionally work nights, weekends and holidays when given ample notice
• Must be available on weekends during whitetail and dove season
• Must have valid driver license
Required experience
• Farm/Ranch life experience: 5 years
