Focus Ranch
Description: Focus Ranch is located 50 miles west of Steamboat Springs, Colorado and 30 miles east of Baggs, Wyoming. Half the ranch is in Wyoming and the other half in Colorado. The Little Snake River runs for about 2 miles through the ranch. For many years we were a working cattle ranch that took guests and allowed them to participate in the daily operation of the ranch. We now have transitioned to just operating the cattle ranch, with friends and family visitors only. We hire a staff of about 8.
Cook:
- Prepares 3 meals per day for staff and guests
- Meals are home-cooked with fresh breads, desserts, vegetables
- Meals are served buffet style
- Meal times generally are: 7:30 am, 12:30 pm and 6:30 pm
- Menu and recipes are available as well as on site training
- Ranch personnel assist the cook when needed
- Manages kitchen and maintain Health Dept. standards
- Will keep kitchen clean
- Will assist with inventory
Important to have good foundation for cooking, organizational skills, clean and safety minded.
We do hire those who have not cooked in professional settings but are skilled in preparing family style meals.
Occasionally will be cooking for owners’ guests and family members.
Benefits: We provide housing, home-cooked meals, WiFi connection, laundry services and more. The pay depends on experience and includes a monthly salary and a bonus at the end of the season. Days off: 1.5/week.
The ranching season is from May 1st until about October 15th but we are flexible with dates if most of our seasonal needs are met. If interested and feel this might be a good fit for you, we would love to hear from you to further discuss the opportunity.

All employees of Focus Ranch must be current on their Covid vaccines and booster by the start date. Proof of vaccination will be required.
