Looking for immediate hire of full time ranch hand (6 Days/week) on family owned commercial cattle operation located in Livermore, CA.
We run a cow/calf/ stocker and small horse boarding operation. Hours can vary but typically 7am-5pm depending on weather and work to be done. Below are basic requirements.
Ranch life is full of unpredictability and surprises which is part of the fun of it so looking for someone who is hard working, self-motivated, adaptive and has positive attitude.

Salary: $2,500-3,000/month
Housing:Available on site (small 2 bedroom mobile home with porch, washer/dryer, full kitchen.)
Requirements:
-Able to ride horses in steep country. Preferred roping ability.
-Basic Animal Husbandry skills (safe handling of cattle and horses, identifying and treating sick animals)
-Experience gathering cattle horseback and 4-wheelers.
-Fence Building/repair skills
-Heavy equipment operation (ASV, skip loader, etc)
-Drive manual trucks, haul stock
-Cleaning Stalls
-Strong work ethic and love of lifestyle
Preferred:
-Prior ranch experience/background (Grew up or 3+yrs experience)
-Advanced horsemanship skills/roping
-Mechanic skills
-Rangeland Management
