Spirit Arrow Ranch is a beautiful, small family-run ranch just outside Sedona, AZ. We are not a large operation, just a “right-size” operation. We are here to enjoy life, have a small amount of boarders and are looking for someone to join our small team.

You:

  • Equine, farm/ranch experience required
  • Feed equines AM/PM
  • Live full time, year-round, flexible hours, on site in new fully furnished 1 bedroom apartment (incl. washer/dryer and A/C)
  • Must be 25 years of age or older w/social security or green card
  • Able to operate a tractor and other ranch equipment (or willing to learn)
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds (ie. hay bales)
  • Have a positive, “can-do” attitude, assist others when needed
  • Physical stamina and strength for general labor tasks
  • Positive interpersonal skills (no drama)
  • High level of Integrity, drug-free, no addictions, non-smoker
  • Pass background check

General Job Description:

  • Oversee the quality of care for all equines and customer service for equine boarders (less than 10)
  • Feed, water and muck daily, perform nightly barn/pasture inspections to ensure health and safety
  • Perform regular maintenance and tasks associated with property and running a ranch, in varying weather conditions
  • All policies, rules and regulations shall be enforced by the Ranch Hand to ensure the safety and well-being of all horses, visitors, and users and immediately notify the property owners if they determine that any person, animal or horse endangers the health and safety of other horses, animals or people
  • Maintain appropriate records on all feed change request and service requests
  • Field calls and texts from boarders as needed
  • Attend to minor medical care of equines
  • Manage fly masks and equine blanket use as needed

Salary: $1,150/wk

Furnished Apartment rent: $775/mo (all utilities incl., private washer/dryer)
