A regenerative operation in Montana is looking for someone that is interested in helping the day to day operation. We move cows frequently, and are taking many steps to improve our soil health. We have much of the infrastructure in place already so much of the time spent would be planning, organizing and implementing grazing moves. Calving help would also be part of the duties.
We start calving in mid-April as part of the regenerative process. Our goal is to winter graze for much of the winter. We wean April born calves in late December or January. Calves are fed hay and no grain mostly away from corals.
We do feed hay with some tractors. So some mechanical knowledge would be a plus. We put up zero hay on our land and buy all hay needed.
