Stewart Hay & Cattle
Ranch / cattle herd management and daily operations for a Christian family owned & operated Registered Brangus Breeder and Commercial Cow/Calf Ranch in East Texas in Van Zandt County running 350 head and expanding. We transfer about 150 embryos each year. We also have Hay Production and Dirt Services businesses. This job involves ALL aspects of the ranch, BUT is Focused on Cattle. It is a side-by-side with the owner job, not an absentee owner.
The right person will have a major role in our cattle operation.
Qualifications of the correct candidate:
- Cattle experience–Health, Doctoring, Feeding, Mineral Supplements, Nutrition, Gentle Handling, Calving, Calf-Pulling
- Knowledge of IVF Collection, Recip Preparation
- Experience Operating Truck/trailer, Tractors, Hay Equipment
- Honest, Accountable, Clean, Organized, Non Smoker, Dependable
- Clean Driving Record & Background Check
- Basic Mechanical Skills
- Welding Experience
- Detailed Record Keeping
