900 acre, family owned ranch in Paradise Valley seeking ranch hand/irrigation tech April 1st – September 30th, 2025.

This role will be expected to work with management to accomplish the daily operation and repair of wheel line and pivot irrigation systems, tractor field work, weed spraying, fixing and building fence, lawn upkeep, maintaining ranch vehicles, operating hay equipment, assisting in the care of ranch animals, and more. For the right candidate, we are willing to teach and work on skill development. While daily chores remain the same, there are new problems to solve in ranching every day.

Located along the Yellowstone River and in the foothills of the Gallatin Mountains, this role is ideal for someone who likes to work independently and outdoors. This is not specifically an equine or cattle job, though there will be opportunities to ride horses, move cattle, and learn the basics of horse care and horsemanship. This is not the right role for someone interested in learning how to cowboy.

This is a salaried job, 5 days a week. You will be asked to rotate every other weekend on, caring for animals and running irrigation equipment. Depending on the time of year, hours can be long.

There is a small, lightly furnished apartment on site that includes wi-fi and utilities.

The right candidate must be an independent worker, problem solver, and able to maintain a positive attitude. They must also be able to operate a stick shift truck and tractor. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in heavy equipment, mechanic work, fencing, welding, electrical, irrigation, horses, ranching, and agriculture.

Pay is dependent on experience.
