South Texas 2,300-acre ranch in search of a long-term ranch hand and housekeeper to help support us maintain our family ranch. Couples are encouraged to apply.

Ranch Hand duties involve all aspects of general ranch labor, such as checking stock ponds and solar pumps, filling feeders, vehicle and facility maintenance, maintaining photography and hunting blinds, road maintenance and grounds keeping at the headquarters. The job includes the management of a couple head of cattle, horses, donkeys, chickens and ranch dogs. Depending on work flow – coming to Uvalde one day a week (45 miles away) to help with lawn care at the owner's commercial property is a possibility. Must be reliable, hardworking and able to lift at least 50 lbs or more on a regular basis.

House Keeper Responsibilities include daily cleaning of the family houses and turnover of the guest rooms as needed. Depending on work flow – preparing meals based on a planned menu, stocking snacks and beverages for guests.

Short term renters and friends may rent and use the property. The house/grounds need to be prepared for guests and after each visit/use of the main ranch house and other ranch buildings, you will need to clean and maintain the buildings. Assist on site as needed when owners or guests are visiting the property. Available to work some weekends as needed to help with entertaining guests. Flexible with work schedule as this is not always an 8-5 job.

We are located in Kinney County in the transition zone between South Texas Hill Country and the brush country. Housing is provided on the ranch and trailer hookup is available. The available 3-bedrooms, 2-bathroom house is brand new with appliances and utilities. We are 45 minutes from Uvalde (to the East), 45 minutes from Del Rio (to the West) and a little over an hour from Eagle Pass (South).

As we are looking for a long-term employment, we are requiring a working interview of 3-5 days. You will be paid for your time spent at the ranch.
