Mitchell Cattle Company
We are a 7 generation family cattle ranch located in Lolita, TX, middle of Texas Coastal Plains, seeking a hand/trainee with growth potential working toward foreman/management responsibilities. The person we seek will be self-motivated, honest, punctual, flexible, lifelong learner and one who works on every project with an eye for detail.
This is a full-time position with ranch hours from Monday-Friday and some Saturdays, with occasional extended/flexible hours as required. The job is ranch duties tending to grazing rotations, cattle, water, fence and brush with lots of outdoor physical labor (plenty of heat and humidity in the summer and cold drizzle in winter). We do not put-up hay.
We are a cattle ranch with 500 plus head cow/calf operation, with added stocker and heifer development enterprises. We practice intensively managed grazing, low stress handling and working with nature. We use horses occasionally, but primarily work off UTVs. Compensation dependent on attributes and experience.
