Cobb Charolais Ranch
Full time employee needed for small mechanized feedlot with general ranch work on a family ranch located in foothills of Rocky Mountains west of Augusta, Montana. Ranch is scenic 20,000 acres with calving herds of 600+ mother cows, and seedstock bull development in feedlot. No horse useage, only ATV’s, pickups and tractors.
Experience in welding, machinery repairs, vehicle maintenance a must. Some construction experience a plus. Employee must be physically fit, able to climb a 50 foot feed silo 4 or 5 times per year, able to learn to operate conveyor belt/auger feedlot machinery, tractors, haying equipment, wire fencing repairs, calving duties, cattle health doctoring and vaccinations, low-stress cattle handling methods.
Salary is negotiable $2,000 to $2,200 to start, with a 2 bedroom partially furnished house, utilities paid and beef provided.
Job can start immediately.
