Youth Ranch Animals Foreman / Instructor
AGAPE YOUTH MINISTRY (AYM) is a nondenominational Christian, Bible-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit Arizona Corporation, which established the Agape Youth Ranch. The mission of AYM is to help hurting / at-risk teens through hands-on Christian-based programs held at the Agape Youth Ranch, located in southeast Arizona at the base of the Chiricahua Mountains.

This position could be filled by a husband/wife team, as well as an individual. If applicant is married, but the spouse would not be serving as the Ranch Animal Foreman team, then the spouse must also be willing to serve in some other capacity at the Ranch. This would be discussed upon application.
A High School Diploma or equivalent;
You are a born-again Christian, well-grounded in the Bible and actively living your faith;
Farrier Experience Is Highly Desired;
You have knowledge and experience in handling, training, and caring for ranch/farm animals, including the ability to teach the same to students, particularly horses & dogs;
You Enjoy Working With Teenagers;
You are a cooperative, friendly, flexible team player (willing to wear many different “hats” to help, as needed);
First-aid and CPR certified;
Must pass a background and drug test;
Limit of 2 children in family is preferred;
Willingness to work under the authority of the Ministry’s CEO and with the Academy Director or other supervisors.
NOTE: A minimum of a two (2) year commitment is required.
The Agape Youth Ranch Academy Program includes education regarding the care, handling and training of horses and dogs, as well as other small ranch/farm animals, which the Ranch Animal Foreman provides / oversees. The Ranch Animal Foreman provides for or coordinates and manages the daily care of all AYR animals, as well as equipment, feed, and veterinarian services for the animals. Other responsibilities include overseeing off-ranch programs that students may participate in, i.e., 4-H, FFA, special events, etc. The Ranch Animal Foreman works closely with the Ranch Director and/or AYM’s CEO and other staff members to provide cohesive educational instruction for the students.
COMPENSATION: AYM may provide a negotiated yearly financial stipend of $18,000 to $24,000. AYM provides housing and basic utilities to staff members.
