Rocky Mountain Pathways Ranch
Rocky Mountain Pathways Ranch is located in the scenic Rocky Mountains near Estes Park, CO. We were established to provide experiential and social/emotional programming to students that are at risk of not graduating from high school. Our students visit us for 10 days in which they participate in a variety of fun and educational activities such as horseback riding and hiking and also complete lessons led by our programming staff. Students also learn a great deal as they help out on the ranch by assisting in the barn and kitchen, tasks for which they receive community service hours they need for graduating.
The Facilities & Maintenance Supervisor provides a variety of functions, completing facility projects, and providing instruction to student learners via experiential work projects, and maintaining the overall upkeep and maintenance of the ranch.
Essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Handle all work duties for repairs at the RMPR and at staff housing
- Write and maintain policies and procedures for safety, maintenance and repairs
- Train all personnel in safe driving practices
- Track and log all vehicle inspection logs. Use logs to determine need for vehicle maintenance
- Assess student skills and develop appropriate work projects for them
- Apply and observe appropriate safety security rules and policies
- Manage regular inventory of tools and supplies for facilities repairs and maintenance
Knowledge, skills and abilities required:
- Knowledge of facilities repair and maintenance including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, construction, etc. Experience in a facilities management role highly preferred.
- Excellent follow up and attention to detail required
- Ability to work effectively under pressure with minimal supervision
- Ability to demonstrate problem-solving skills, while maintaining courtesy, professionalism, and a customer service attitude
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with students, parents, co-workers, and business contacts in a courteous and professional manner
- Willingness to handle emergency repairs if/when they arise
- Professional, mature and experienced working with a wide range of populations (experience with both youth and adult clients)
Education and Experience:
- Facility Management Certification preferred
- Previous experience working in facilities management position
- Must be at least 21 years old
