Seeking new opportunity as a working ranch manager.

Over ten years ranch management experience, the past six in present position.

Due to current ownership deciding to sell cattle and gear toward recreational entertainment, I’m looking for a new position focusing more on production agriculture.

Experienced in all aspects of cattle production, commercial and registered herds (up to 500 head)

• record keeping/cattle software
• breeding (natural and A.I. service)
• certified A.I technician
• calving
• branding
• weaning
• marketing
• nutrition/mineral program
• finishing/feedlot management
• developing vaccination program
• diagnosing/doctoring
• BQA certified

Experienced in horsemanship

• riding
• roping
• general maintenance/healthcare and nutrition
• mares and foals

Experienced in farming/land management (up to 3,000 acres farmed, 20,000 pasture)

• conservative range management
• rotational grazing
• weed identification and control/spraying
• fencing (electric and barbed construction and maintenance)
• irrigation (pivot, wheel-line, flood, hand-line)
• certified pivot service technician through Zimmatic
• forage production (alfalfa, sainfoin, barley/peas, triticale, willow creek, native grasses)
• fertilizing, taking soil/hay samples

Experienced in equipment operation and maintenance

• truck and trailer (no CDL)
• tractor/skid-steer
• haying equipment (swather, rake, small square baler, round baler)
• misc. tillage equipment
• backhoe/excavator

Experienced in employee, customer, government, and and ownership relations

• hiring and supervision of up to 3 employees
