Athena S.
Please text, call, or email me.
About Me:
My name is Athena, and I’m ready to trade my corporate high-rise desk for the wide-open spaces of ranch life. I grew up riding, training, and managing boarding barns. From my first bareback ride through the woods on a runaway pony at age 3, to managing barns, training rescue horses, and riding for the Florida Pro Rodeo, horses and ranch work have always been my passion. After college, life took me into the corporate world. I work as a Network Coordinator at Goldman Sachs, where I have mastered event planning, scheduling, logistics, and communications in a fast-paced environment. I’m grateful for the skills I’ve gained here—but my heart has always been on the land, not the boardroom.
Skills & Experience:
- Horse Care & Barn Management – Experience with yearlings, performance horses, and all-around ranch horses. Comfortable with feeding, turnout, wound care, training, groundwork, and riding.
- Guest Services & Hospitality – Managed social events and guest experiences at a top CrossFit gym; comfortable welcoming and hosting guests for ranch stays, trail rides, events, and eco-tourism programs.
- Event Planning & Coordination – Experience planning corporate events, from multi-site meetings to large-scale programs. Highly organized, adaptable, and capable under pressure.
- Social Media & Marketing – Hands-on experience managing social media for businesses, creating content, and driving engagement.
- Administrative & Bookkeeping Skills – Budget management, expense tracking, data reporting, and customer communications.
- Strong Work Ethic & Positive Attitude – I’m not afraid to get dirty, work long hours, or take on any task that keeps a ranch running smoothly.
What I’m Looking For:
I’m open to opportunities on working ranches, guest ranches, eco-tourism operations, equestrian centers, hunting lodges, and more. Whether it’s horse care, guest services, barn management, event planning, or all of the above—I’m ready to contribute wherever needed. Ideally, I’d love a role that allows me to work hands-on with animals while also putting my organizational and people skills to good use.
If you’re looking for a capable, dedicated barn manager, or client-facing employee who can handle guest relations, events, social media, and administrative work, I’d love to connect. Let’s talk about how I can help your ranch thrive.
