We live in Australia and seek a full-time position in the US managing a large or small cattle ranch with growth opportunities.
I have extensive cattle ranch management experience. I have had many years running high-performing livestock crews, large-scale rotational grazing management, large-scale feedlot management, and large and small-scale backgrounding and breeding situations focusing on low-stress handling in a skilled and positive manner. This includes operations from 100 to over 12000 head.
I would explore all available options.
We have a lot of genuine capability, commitment, and innovation to offer the right partner. We would love to grow or nurture an operation that aligns with our values. My personal rural working goal is always to create harmony between land, livestock, and people in a calm efficient manner. I believe when stress appears in any of these areas it blocks progress, inhibits growth, and drives up costs. I am passionate about efficient low-stress management styles that enable both people and animals to perform at their best in a positive environment. I am skilled in establishing what it takes to have a profitable cattle operation.
There are a few reasons we wish to live and work in the US and unite with a like-minded company. I have always wanted to spend some time improving and growing a working US ranching operation preferably in a pristine environment somewhere in or near the North West (I believe some attributes of Australian ranching can be utilized more in the US). We have recently exited our livestock business in Australia and are seeking a change. We also have a son who has been recruited into a US college on a sporting scholarship that we would like to be closer to. My wife runs an online US business that she can manage more efficiently if we were based in the US. She also coaches online sellers and could bring a lot of experience to a company if needed. She is passionate about family friends and community, enjoys entertaining, and would be available to work part-time if needed.
Low cost, efficient infrastructure development and innovation come naturally to me, as I have a solid understanding of what is needed for optimum performance without overspending. I have a lead-by-example approach with an open mind and a keen eye for positive growth in cattle operations. I practice strict protocols to diminish stress and fear when handling and inducting cattle and can bring a high level of professionalism to the workplace.
We have owned operated and sold livestock operations and have a good vision for growth through the eyes of both an employer and employee. In 2015 I was in the US setting up a supply chain for a US Beef Jerky Co (while my wife helped managed their online sales) and I leased irrigated pasture and ran a large feeder cattle. I thoroughly enjoyed that experience and always wished to return.
We have a lot to offer the right partner and would love to grow or nurture an operation that aligns with our values of health, love, joy, respect, and open communication. Our family is fit and healthy and we are very easy to get along with as we value personal friendships greatly. We are open-minded and would consider all dual-purpose ranches that have hunting, fishing, or tourism if the location and operation would suit us. We would also consider all-size operations.
