I am seeking an internship on a ranch. I have a lot of experience in the animal world (have worked with dogs for 5 years – basic training, basic medical, feeding, basic grooming), and I am very good with animals. However, I live in the Chicago area and would love to live in Texas or Oklahoma. My whole life I have felt like I am a ranch girl stuck in an urban setting. I love to be very busy and work hard, especially with animals and especially outdoors.
I spent a lot of time riding horses as a child (western) and am very comfortable around horses and other farm animals.
I am looking for an internship where I can learn all the workings of a ranch. I am willing to take minimal pay for a position where housing is included with periodic use of a car / vehicle. I intend to learn a lot and prove that I am very useful and turn the position into something more permanent over time.
I have a valid driver's license and drove extensively as part of my previous job. I have a resume and references available upon request.
