I have worked in the oil field for the last several years. However, on my days off I started helping out on a ranch in Douglas, Wyoming and have very much enjoyed the work. I grew up around horses and have enjoyed the opportunity to be around live stock again. I have since ceased working in the oilfield and have started ranching full time.
I am mechanically inclined. I grew up working on all my own vehicles as well as heavy equipment in the oil field. I also have experience with carpentry and plumbing. I may only have 3 months of paid ranch work under my belt but have used that time to master the basics and learn quickly. I have experience driving tractors and limited calving experience. I am looking forward to the opportunity to expand my skill set.
In an ideal situation I would like to seek employment on a ranch willing to teach a hard working individual such as myself more on the subject of calving and/or back country packaging.
