I’m 22-year-old born and raised on a small scale row crop operation in Iowa. This spring I will be graduating from Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa. I’ll have an Agricultural Degree with an emphasis in Food Studies and a concentration area in Natural Resources and Management.
I’ve worked on an exotic hunting ranch in Texas both high fence and low fence. At this operation, I guided and assisted other guides on hunts, booked hunters, and provided care to some exotic animals. (Axis, Fallow, Sika, Aoudad, Variety of Rams, Hogs, Bison, and Red Deer)
I’m an experienced western hunter and have been on many successful DIY hunts out west and have taken friends and family on antelope, elk, and mule deer hunts. I lived in Laramie, Wyoming for a year and a half and spent many hours in the mountains and grasslands.
For the last three springs, I’ve spent fourteen days in Northern Idaho on my own bear hunting and have the fundamentals of bear hunting down and have been successful baiting black bears every year.
I lack experience with horses and have found I don’t work well with horses currently. If you’re patient with me I’m more than willing to learn.
IMPORTANT: I’m looking for a hunting guide position (either seasonal or permanent) for the 2019-2020 seasons (Cannot start any sooner than June 1 of 2019) In order to successfully attain my degree, I need to do an externship at a hunting outfit, a state game and fish agency, or other applicable position.
