I am an experienced and versatile equestrian looking for work in the Sacramento or Placer County area. I have over 20 years of horse experience, including owning and training my own horse for 18 years. I’m familiar with both western and English disciplines.
I have successfully started and finished horses under saddle, but I haven’t ridden for about 6 months so I’m a bit out of shape. My experience also includes: yearling training; ground work in preparation for starting under saddle; halter training, pressure training, ground manners, clipping, longeing, driving, etc.
I am familiar with Eurocizers, scootboots, and portagrazers. I can braid, clip, groom. Working knowledge of equine first aid, hoof disease and treatment, bandaging, dispensing medicine, hand breeding and stallion handling etc. I’ve worked with a wide range of breeds and temperaments and have a gentle yet firm approach when handling horses in my care.
