I’m a seasoned professional with 10 years of barn management experience looking for a versatile long-term position where I can learn and grow with the team.
A little about me:
My love for horses started when I was 3 years old. My mom slapped me on the back on a wild little mini and told me to hold on. Well, that mini thought he was a bronc and gave me the ride of my life. Since that day I was on fire for horses, and I could not get enough. I spent more time in the barn than in my own house! I got my first pony when I was 10 and competed in my local rodeo every week. Although I had a passion for barrel racing and everything “rodeo” I also dabbled in dressage, reining, and natural horsemanship. I managed a 15-stall boarding and day camp facility where I was in charge of feeding, medication/supplements, turn out (pasture maintenance), scheduling vet/farrier visits, and scheduling lessons and pony rides. I moved away for college which led my to sell my horses. I graduated with a BA in sociology with a focus in HR and Event Marketing/Planning. Although I am very thankful for my time at UNCC, and the work and life experience I have gained I need to get back to my roots.
What I am looking for:
I am looking for a versatile long-term position. I would love to find a wrangler position that will allow me to ride and train, or work cattle! In the off-season, I want to transition to admin/HR duties. I have two years of Social Media and Event Planning experience, and I strongly believe that my skillset will transfer well to whatever role I am in next.
What I will bring to the table:
A strong and savvy ranch hand, an extremely social and personal personality, fresh eyes, eagerness to explore, an unstoppable sense of adventure, and my sidekick a mystery cur dog who knows how to smile. I’m up to date with all the trends and my organization skills are superb – my life is color-coded:) I truly hope to speak with you soon. I would love to be part of your team.
