Hi, we are Chris and Bek and we wanted to tell you a bit about ourselves and why we believe we would be a good fit for this opportunity. We have been married for 3 years and have a well behaved dog called Strider.
We are passionate about the great outdoors, agriculture, natural horsemanship, people and living every day as an awesome adventure. We also strongly believe in being good stewards of the beautiful planet around us and sharing this with others.
We have over 10 years of experience from working in agriculture, working with horses and working with people. We embrace hard work and are not afraid to get stuck into any task. We love learning new things and always strive to build on the skills we currently have.

- Chris also has a carpentry qualification.
Chris – I am 28 and have worked in a number of different roles. I have got 6 years of riding experience and would consider myself an advanced rider, extremely confident with horses of all natures, but also always willing to learn new skills and methods. I worked in Australia for 2 years across a number of different cattle ranches, a natural horsemanship rescue centre and for one of Australia’s most renowned race horse trainers. During this time I gained key foundational skills that would translate perfectly into ranch setting. Upon my return to the UK, I completed an Animal Behaviour and Wildlife Conservation degree and am now ready to continue my career. I have since done seasonal cattle jobs, as well as worked for a horse livery and rented my own horse. I also worked as a professional dancer, and taught breakdancing for many years either side of my travelling.
Bek – Prior to studying my degree, I worked across a number of different farms in the UK with cattle and sheep. I also learnt to horse-ride as a teenager. Whilst I am a proficient ‘English-style’ rider, I am excited to improve my western style of riding. Since gaining my degree I have worked as an Agriculture Manager for the largest red-meat processor in Europe. My current role requires me to manage the businesses key customer accounts, work closely with farmers, manage large-scale projects and deliver our Agri-IT strategy. This has given me many skills and qualifications across all areas of the business, from conflict management through to being highly proficient with the Microsoft suite of tools such as excel, word and powerpoint. Whilst I have thoroughly enjoyed the last 5 years in my current role, I would like to change the direction of my career and pursue my true passions. I am excited to put my skills to use in a more practical setting, working with horses, cattle and people. I am keen to embrace the lifestyle change that will come with this new opportunity.
We currently live in the UK but our dream is to run our own dude ranch because it encompasses all of our passions and skills. When we visited Yellowstone National park and stayed on a Dude Ranch for our honeymoon, we completely fell in love with all the things that America has to offer.
In the UK our favourite thing to do is go hiking and wild camping with our dog. However we also love dog training, rock climbing, cooking (and eating), getting involved with our church, horse-riding, playing sports and keeping fit.
