Hi! We’re Michael and Jamie D.
Both Michael and Jamie have independent long-term careers in dude/guest ranches, and met while working on a ranch in Colorado. Three years and several adventures later, we are married and looking to find a ranch as a permanent home.
About Michael: Marine Corps veteran and certified heavy equipment operator. Worked 5+ years in maintenance at the C Lazy U Ranch. Skilled mechanic & operator, knowledgeable in land management, irrigation, fire mitigation, and general property management and upkeep. Is a great leader and reliable member of a team. Also has a background in medical/EMT. A very useful guy to have around!
About Jamie: With over 10 years in the dude ranch industry, her experience is vast. F&B, reservation and revenue management, certified specialist in most activities, media and marketing, barn management, equine and bovine herd management – she’s done it all. Worked as the administrator of the Dude Ranchers Association and is knowledgeable in all aspects of industry standards, best practices, etc. Honored in COWGIRL Magazine’s 30 Under 30 program in 2022 as a Dude Ranch Expert and Ranch Photographer. She has also spent time at over 20 guest ranches in the past 3 years and carries a wealth of knowledge gathered from those experiences.
Overall, we’re a great time to come in to a ranch that is ready for some fresh faces and wanting a long-term plan. We do come with a dog, cat, and Jamie’s personal horse. We are specifically looking for a full house for housing (or connections/advice on nearby housing) as we are wanting to start a family once we are settled in. We cannot stress this enough – we are looking to bring our best to a guest ranch, while also finding a home to raise our family. With the right fit, we will have no interest in going anywhere else.
