Younger couple seeking an appealing opportunity. After some thought and discussion, we thought we’d see what is out there.
A little bit about us: we currently reside in Idaho and own a home with some ground and a shop, I am currently employed full time with the same employer for the last 8 years as well as running a side business for a few select customers working on their semis out of my personal shop. She also has her own horse training/hauling operation for the last 10 years. We are both self-starters with different but relatable backgrounds in the ag industry. I have a solid background in ag and mechanics from light duty automotive to heavy duty equipment/ class 8 trucks, highway and agricultural, I also have a degree in diesel technology.
My current employer is a farming/custom chopping operation, I do all aspects from turning wrenches to ground prep, planting, irrigation, fabrication, spraying, harvest, general farm labor, general handyman work, truck driving. I’ve been involved in the industry since I was young full time including dairy industry as a service tech, a traveling custom harvest crew, farming, a fleet shop, over the road livestock transportation, and my current job which involves a large variety of different things.
I’ll try to keep this short but willing to discuss in depth in person. I’m a quick learner and well-read in quite a variety of different things, I enjoy learning new things and pushing myself to the best of my abilities. She has an extensive background with horses from breeding, doctoring, training, health/care, transportation, general care, roping, also a quick learner and hard worker. I feel like we make a pretty solid team as far as what we are capable of and what we can get done in each of our own different aspects, where one falls short the other picks up and we build together off of that.
A little about us outside of work, we own a few dogs that are well mannered, some horses, we both spend a lot of time outdoors. Her free time revolves mostly around all aspects of the horses and being in the local mountains doing various activities. In my free time I enjoy backpacking, being horseback, hunting, fishing, learning new skills, bicycling, motorcycle riding, running, just about anything that requires being active. The ideal situation we are seeking would involve, housing or the ability to sell our current home and purchase/rent something close, an outfit that takes pride in their operations, we are very easy going within reason, capable and hard workers.
Horseback work would need to be involved in a large part. We are open to about anything from outfitting operations to cattle/farm operations. We mostly decided to make this ad in hopes something out there will strike our interest so just let us know if we seem like we could be the right fit. More than happy make plans to meet in person and discuss everything in depth we are currently located in Idaho looking to possibly relocate no specific preferences.
