Green Plains Cattle Company is currently looking for qualified pen riders for multiple locations in the state of Kansas. As a pen rider you will be responsible to ride pens daily, identify and pull sick cattle, return treated cattle to home pens and ensure the overall condition of pens are safe and maintained.
Experience on horseback is required for the safety of the candidate and co-workers. This position requires good attention to detail and experience identifying sick cattle, as well as low stress handling of cattle. Knowledge of the feedlot industry is a plus, as well as being able to communicate in both English and Spanish (not required but preferred).
In this role, you will be asked to work hard, and at times long hours. At times one may experience work environments such as wind, rain, snow, and heat. You will be required to be on horseback for long periods of time with occasional standing and walking.
