Brackett Town Farms Ltd
BRACKETT TOWN FARMS is a therapeutic petting farm located in Nebo, NC. The Farm is a place where community members can come to interact with our animals and nature. We host groups, families, and field trips with a heart for those with special needs or mental health issues. Farm visits are by appointment only and the Farm is open from April to November. During the off season the animals are moved to winter pastures and fencing repairs and projects are done.
Daily Farm Hand chores include but are not limited to:
- cleaning of stalls, cages, and enclosures for all animals (rabbits, hedgehogs, Kunekune pigs, babydoll sheep, pygmy goats, horses, alpacas, miniature cows, emu, chickens, peacocks, and miniature donkeys)
- grooming and/or other animal maintenance
- farm projects or repairs
- evening feed of all animals
Assistance needed 3+ days per week for 3-4 hours per day. Applicant must have valid drivers license and references. Experience with horses is highly recommended. Pay is $10/hour
