NW Colorado Big Game Hunting Outfitter has a Packer/Wrangler position open. The job starts September 1, 2024 (or earlier) and ends mid-November.

This is our 26th year to professionally outfit. We have over 85% return clients. We are located in NW Colorado just south of Craig, CO, and north of Meeker, CO. We are about an hour and 1/2 from Steamboat Springs.

We are seeking an experienced packer that has strong horse/mule skills. The job entails helping care for the stock, putting loads together and packing hunters in and out of camps plus packing their harvested game out.

Applicant needs to have a strong work ethic, good horse skills and a good attitude. If you have strong horse/mule skills, but not packing experience, depending on your qualifications, we will consider teaching you to pack. However, you must have strong horse/mule skills and be able to lead strings.

We cannot accommodate pets. It is Ok to bring your own horse/mule.

Must be a team player. NON-smoker. Meals provided and shared housing in either a cabin or wall tent. We are seeking an honest, ethical person who wants to be part of a great team.
