MNL, a leader in ecological restoration, has an opening for an Operations Supervisor, Grazing. The Operations Supervisor, Grazing is responsible for rangeland and on farm operational systems, including labor and material oversight, facilities management, and logistics planning. Manages livestock care employees of the Grazing program as a hardworking, team-oriented leader.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manages a team of employees and ensures that all given tasks are performed to the highest standards.
- Maintains open lines of communication with employees.
- Ensures equipment is in working order and that proper inventory and maintenance schedules are maintained.
- Works with manager to minimize cost while maximizing animal welfare and human safety.
- Ensures maintenance and care of facilities, machinery, and equipment at prime operational condition (fencing, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, structural, etc.).
- Prioritizes resources, spots bottlenecks in operations systems, and addresses issues with innovative problem solving.
- Inspires a team culture of positivity, drive, and cooperation.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Previous experience in operations (agricultural preferred), logistics, facilities management, livestock, agriculture, and/or education.
- Proven supervisory experience.
- Must have strong communication skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Desire to learn on the job and stay current on technologies that will improve ability to lead grazing operations.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Basic computer knowledge required with Microsoft 365 experience desirable.
- Drive to positively impact the national agricultural systems by producing high quality meat proteins while serving valuable ecological functions.

Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Prolonged periods of time standing and walking, including working on uneven terrain.
- Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, reach, and move as needed in order to complete various livestock care duties.
- Able to work long hours, including early mornings, late evenings and weekends as needed.
- Prolonged periods of time working in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat and extreme cold.
- Able to be on call as needed.
- Occasional travel required.
