Private Ranch
Private ranch near Choteau, Montana seeking two individuals to assist in maintaining the aesthetics of the ranch’s natural landscape around the homes. The goal is to maintain areas where native grass and flower species grow and mitigate undesirable plant species. This is a full-time seasonal position. Must have flexibility in work schedule including working some weekends. Room and board provided. Hourly wage $14.00/hr plus overtime.
Duties:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Maintain aesthetic appeal around houses: mowing, watering, weeding and pruning
- Assist with planting/relocating and maintaining new and established plants
- Eliminate undersirable plants in an eco-friendly manner
- Monitor and document test plots
- Care for 30 porch containers of seasonal plantings
- Noxious weed control
Requirements:
- Able to work independently
- Able to take directions
- High School diploma preferred or equivalent with 2 years of experience
- Able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be 18 years of age
- Valid driver's license
- Willing to sign a confidentiality agreement and pass a background check
- Legal to work in the US
- Must be able to work long hours outdoors in the sun
- Prefer ability to identify plants in all stages of the plant cycle
- Prefer a two summer commitment
