This family-owned ranch, consisting of over 20,000 acres, is located northwest of White Sulphur Springs in Meagher County, Montana. The ranch maintains a small cattle operation and a limited number of horses. There are over 300 acres of irrigated meadows with the balance of the ranch primarily native range, sage-dominated foothills and timber. In addition to the Smith river, three drainages flow year-round through the ranch.
The ranch is used by the owners as a key residence and by their family and guests as a hospitality location. In addition to working hard at your summer job, in your free time you will be able to take advantage of other activities offered at the ranch such as: Fly fishing, kayaking, hiking, mountain biking, swimming, tennis, rafting, and an on-site gym.

Please review the openings below and send us a resume and a brief summary of which roles interest you the most. Candidates that will pitch in and assist all positions (when needed) are strongly preferred.
Room and Board is provided to you free of charge. You will receive three meals daily with dormitory-style accommodations, shared bathrooms and laundry facilities. Positions will start in mid-May and continue through mid to late-August. Travel expenses up to $500 will be reimbursed for employees working for the entire season.
Groundskeeping:
- Responsibilities include maintaining the grounds of the Montana ranch, specifically lawns, meadows, gardens, and trails, ensuring appropriate service levels are maintained for the family and guests at all times. Activities include: mowing, trimming, gardening, general beautification of grounds.
Housekeeping:
- Responsibilities include ensuring a seamless and revitalizing guest experience for both internal and external guests while utilizing and observing world-class standard operating procedures and safety guidelines. Activities include maintaining, detailing and cleaning of guest cabins, guest facilities, staff areas and other ranch locations.
Lodge and Hospitality:
- Responsibilities include ensuring the best guest experience through serving food and beverages in a positive and friendly manner, assisting guests with food and beverage selections, and maintaining dining ambiance with an enthusiastic attitude.
Ranch Hand:
- Responsibilities include utilizing fundamental and technical knowledge of livestock and range management to ensure that optimal ranch operations are achieved. Activities include all aspects of animal husbandry and assisting in all aspects of hay and forage production.
