Alpha & Omega Mounted Security Patrol
California troopers must be able to pass basic riding and sensory tests on horse (see attached) and be at least 19 years old.
Horses must be a minimum of 5 years old and 15HH.
Riders also need to have their own truck and trailer for travel. Exceptions can be made in this area.
Riders need to have availability to ride in the month of April and a weekend in August and October.
Also, riders will be required to obtain a California Guard Card (the initial card is paid for by Alpha & Omega after completion of first concert), then maintenance of card is up to each rider.
Riders will be working 10-11 hour shifts with breaks and lunch.
While on site working, the following are provided: hay, bedding, stalls, hotel for those who do not have LQ, mileage for travel, per diems for both horse and rider on work days, and 2 meals a day when on shift.
