The Old Mutt Hut
Live in a very nice house with eight or 10 senior dogs near Colorado Springs, CO. We have 40 quiet acres on the prairie, two decks with a view of Pikes Peak, and lots of volunteers to help.
Candidate MUST have experience with kennels, vet office, rescue or dog training facilities. The dogs who live here are not working dogs, they are dogs over the age of 10 who wound up homeless. All are quite healthy and most walk a mile or two a day. The live-in caregiver gets three days off per week, 8:30 to 4:30, and a week of paid vacation after a year.
Candidates must be comfortable working with volunteers, abiding by state regulations (and Colorado has plenty of those), and working as a team member.
No smoking. No children (it’s an insurance thing since the dogs free roam inside the house), and the caregiver can bring no more than one well-socialized dog.
