Big Sandy Lodge, LLC

We are a remote, family-owned mountain lodge, located outside of Boulder, WY, at the Big Sandy Trailhead into the Bridger Wilderness. We have 10 rustic cabins, along with the main lodge and we also offer guided trail rides, gear drops, and fishing and hunting trips. We are a small business looking for employees that value the wilderness experience as much as we do. Because of our remoteness, all staff lives at the lodge and must be willing to work most days of the summer. Some days will be longer and some shorter, depending on the number of guests.
Seasonal Employment Dates: June – Hunting Season (October 21st).
Housekeeping Staff: Will clean and prepare the lodge and bathrooms every morning and will turn over cabins daily (10 single-room cabins). Will take care of bedding & towel laundry for cabins. Clean all outhouses, daily. Assist cook with dishes and help in keeping the lodge clean and orderly. Other duties may include: greeting guests, answering questions about the lodge, hauling and stacking firewood, helping take menu item orders and the list goes on…
Guides: Previous packing experience strongly desired, but not required. Our guides must have extensive horse experience and will be required to get first aid certification. Must be willing to ride up to 28 miles round trip, though most days will be less. Our guides take guests, via horseback, for trail rides, fishing trips, and gear drops to designated locations. Must be a people person, as guests love talking to guides!
Preference to applicants who enjoy the outdoors, ranch-style life, and those that have experience in camping, hiking, etc. The lodge only has power when the generator is on (1-3 hours a day), so there will be a lot of peace and quiet.
ALL MEALS & HOUSING INCLUDED.
Wage depends on experience. No tips pot, your tips are yours to keep!
