Private ranch in Western Montana is seeking a dog trainer for a full time, year round position in a 20 dog training program, care for birds and host top quality hunts for the owner and his guests.
⚠️ ** Experience with hunting dog training, dog health and care, bird care and handling an ABSOLUTE NECESSITY.**
Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Training pointers and spaniels for upland hunts at the ranch and training labradors for waterfowl hunting at off site duck club.
- Host top quality hunts for the owner and his guests.
- Daily care of dogs and birds.
- Daily cleaning and maintenance of kennel and aviary.
- Participate in farming of habitat areas as needed.
- Service and maintain all hunting and recreational equipment.
- Coordinate with ranch manager.
- Help out with miscellaneous ranch projects.
Qualifications:
- Honest, highly motivated self starter.
- Valid drivers license and must be able to pass a background check.
- Knowledge in use of tractor and other ranch equipment an asset.
Salary: $40k to $65k depending on experience. Full benefits package. Relocation allowance available. Housing and company vehicle provided.
