The facility is attached to a 1,400 acre cattle ranch in Sedalia, CO, providing a beautiful area to ride. It is in an incredibly scenic part of the state. The owners live on the ranch and recently acquired the horse facility. It is a very friendly environment,consisting of trail riding, beginning lessons, western and english disciplines. Looking for someone who wants to work hard, and loves the equestrian lifestyle. The facility will go through numerous upgrades in the near future, and it will be a very exciting time to be a part of such a special place.
Responsibilities: Management of a 30-40 horse boarding facility. Housing is provided as this is a full time job, that requires 24-hour availability. Days start early and end late. Working directly with animals, overseeing their health, training, and living conditions, and also handling business matters. Directs and performs maintenance of ranch, including housing, outbuildings, fencing, and equipment. Must be dependable, honest, self-starter, and drug free.
Salary: $3,000/mo
• Communicating with boarders
• Soliciting new boarders
• Turning out horses daily
• Cleaning stalls and feeding
• Maintaining the arena footing
• Overseeing barn/stable staff and training new employees
• Developing & enforcing feed & cleaning schedules
• Maintaining supply & feed inventory
• Developing & enforcing exercise routines
• Available for animal care and emergencies after-hours
• Managing disposal of waste
• Arranging and overseeing vet visits, worming & shots
• Caring for the health and well-being of the land around the facility
• Operating tractors and equipment
