Helicopter Aerial Application Crew Member Wanted

Vertical Vegetation Management, LLC. is a company specializing in aerial application and forestry management with helicopters. We are in search of a CDL Driver and a NON CDL Driver to employ for the driving and operating of helicopter fuel and chemical loading trucks. This is a seasonal position with opportunities for full time.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
As a CDL crew member you will be operating a 4500-gallon straight truck tanker that on occasions pulls 5400-gallon pup tanker. Trucks have a helipad on top for the chemical loading and refueling of helicopters. See example pictures. As a NON CDL Driver you will be pulling a Spray Trailer behind a 3/4 ton pickup truck. Trailers have a helipad on the top for loading chemicals and refueling of helicopters. Both jobs are divided between ground duties of mixing chemicals to be applied, the planning and execution of ground equipment logistics about the work area, and appropriate record keeping. Work areas can be confined to counties all the way out to multiple states in the eastern USA. Normal operations over a month would be for example: work in a 150-mile radius in South Carolina for a farmer/ consultant for 15 days and then make a long move to Georgia where we would work a 100-mile radius for a different farmer/consultant for 20 days. You are expected to be ready for work at daylight and can expect to work until dark. We operate a fair amount of time under an agriculture exemption from DOT logbooks. Long hours are not rare since we start at daylight and quit at dark. It is also not rare to be headed to the hotel at 10:30am because wind and then go back out for an hour or 2 in the evening if the wind dies down. THIS IS FARMING SO BE READY TO WORK LONG HOURS WHEN THE WEATHER ALLOWS.
You are the face of the company with their feet on the ground working directly with the customer. You will need a positive, professional attitude and appearance.
SCHEDULE:
- May through November. Start date can be flexible
- May – July 1 work in GA/FL/NC/SC (There will be days off in between)
- Try to take a week off around July 4th if weather/work will allow.
- Move equipment to Indiana to spray corn July 7- Mid August
- Take a week off after corn and then start forestry in GA/FL/SC/NC until Mid-November.
- There will be other days off due to weather and maintenance.
- Vacation time is available with notice so I can find someone to cover your shift.
PAY:
- Daily rate of $325/DAY.
- $220 daily pay
- $40.00/day BONUS that will be paid end of year after season is over.
- $45/Day Per diem
TRAVEL:
Extensive travel throughout the eastern United States is required. All travel expenses are paid by VVM. You are provided a single private hotel room.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a CDL Class A with Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements to drive Batch Trucks. Must have good people and mechanical skills. Must be self-motivated and able to work long hours. Must be able to lift 50lbs.
